Try to uncheck Show color in tab bar in Safari's Preferences... -> General.

Safari -- how do I change the color scheme back? Upgraded to Big Sur 11.6 and it changed my Safari header to a black color scheme, which I hate. I can't find the process to change it back. Can someone help? Thanks, Gary

Go to Safari > Preferences > tabs and uncheck "show color in tab bar."

Sorry, the mentioned option isn’t located in General. It’s in Tabs.
