Greetings, helstonian.
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. We can understand why you’d want to be able to search for your tunes.
It sounds like you are searching your Library rather than searching the Music app or the iTunes store.
Are you able to search for tunes in Music? Search for music on iPhone
What about the iTunes Store app? Buy music from the iTunes Store
We hope this helps! Thanks for being a part of the community.
Sincerely.
2019 iMac Big Sur V11.6 OS. Just installed the most recent update to the OS. Just tried a search for tunes on my 2021 iPad Air and that's OK.
I have the iTunes Store homepage displayed but when I enter something in the Search box I keep getting "No results found in your library" This has only happened recently as I've searched the Store to purchase tunes in the recent past.
Hi, helstonian.
Thanks for getting back to us. We have a few more questions which will help us isolate the issue further so we can provide the best troubleshooting steps to assist with this behavior.
-Which device are you using when receiving this alert?
-If you search the iTunes Store using another device that is signed in with the same Apple ID in the iTunes Store, does the same alert occur?
-Have you made any recent changes to your device since noticing this behavior? Any recent updates?
-Does the alert occur on multiple networks or just one network?
Best wishes.
Finally sorted my problem out. Thanks for your interest.
