sudo softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 10.15.6 Says "Installation Failed"

Hi Apple and Mac friends. I need to download the .iso or .dmg or install version of Catarlin 10.15.6 (not the later update) so that I can install it on a partition in my internal drive to run a particular app that runs on just that version.

When I enter in this command in Terminal: "sudo softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 10.15.6" I get this after waiting for hours: "Initialization Failed".

did the mac ship with catalina or before? recent macs cannot run OS software older than their original macOS. the mac needs to be able to run a particular macOS before being able to download said macOS.

why the "sudo " before the command? all you need is this:

softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 10.15.6

Hi. I've tried both with sudo and without sudo, it both ends in "Installation Failed"
