Location services/ significant locations

Deal breaker

Not having the location detail is a real problem for me. I use this for client billing purposes. When is this going to be resolved?

Wow its been months since these posts no solution :( boy I could sure use this resolved like today ----poop - the records are there - to many apple workers "working" at home :)

I rely on my significant location history to invoice my clients for time spent. This update is not the first time that I’ve had issues with my location tracking. It is clear that the data is there, but like others have said, only a summary and the most recent four, and even on those 4 I cannot pull any detailed info as to the time I was actually there.

This is an imperative function for business owners and independent contractors who bill for hourly work.

IT partially WORKED!!!!!….I turned off location services, rebooted my phone, and then turned location services back on again. I went from no history at all to 2 months of history for home and work only. In the past, it had about 2 months history of just about every place I had been.

Not the answer we're looking for.. But to those that need to look. I also use the Facebook app and allow it to track my location, which actually does a better job than iOS sometimes. So check your Facebook . Settings Location and then Location History and cross your fingers you're past destination are there.

Exactly Newchamp, its rediculous to see on my iPhone in the Summary portion of Significant Locations that there are 70 Records (or whatever number of records, it changes) and they cannot be accessed. Big mistake by the coders. On my mac the Significant Locations are up to date to November 18, 2021 and today is Dec. 1. Big lag there, don't know if they will ever update. I sent in feedback to Apple.

The only solution I can find is to find someone with macOS Big Sur (or downgrade your own system; creating a virtual machine in Parallels Desktop - free trial - is also possible) or earlier and create an account on their computer and log in to your Apple ID. System preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Privacy tab -> System Services -> Details. Should be there. Worked on my new Big Sur install. Let me know if it works for you.

My Monterey Machine doesn't work. So Apple purposefully removed it. I'm all for privacy, and I get how the feature can be abused by nasty relatives and so forth, but if you are going to remove something like this, you **** well better tell people in big flashing letters.

The ability to view the locations has been removed. The function beyond that appears to be as is.

Yes I have this issue too. I use it for work as well and use it to track my hours per job.

Time to stop using my iPhone and switch phones

Privacy? The info is in iCloud. That's how the Big Sur OS can get it and show it. The info is there. We ought to be allowed to access our own iCloud info.
