"Unable to download" popup on my iPhone 12

I have an iPhone 12. Every day, multiple times a day, I get a popup message saying “unable to download” with the options done and retry. I have been hitting done but it keeps popping up. I have looked at the downloads list in files and in my iTunes but cannot find out what is causing this. Any idea how I can make it stop? Please help!

If you can't download or update apps on your iPhone or iPad

  • Open the App Store and sign in. If a blue account icon appears at the top of the App Store, you might not be signed in. ...
  • Manually update the app. ...
  • Check your payment method. ...
  • Pause the download, then restart it. ...
  • Restart your device. ...
  • Contact Apple.

For starters, how long has this been happening? Has is been since you updated to iOS 15? Or to iOS 15.1?

I recommend maybe a restart!?! https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201559

this doesn’t erase any data, it’s just turning it off, then back on again.

also, have you tried pressing “retry”? If not, see which app/screen it takes you to.

I am an android person, I have always really liked to use Samsung phones specifically.

i would really recommend a Samsung phone if you can’t make this pop up stop,

but before we come to anything like that, let’s try to get it fixed…

Just wondering if a solution had been found to stop the ‘Unable to Download’ message? I’m having it too, started about 6 weeks ago. I contacted Apple Support via chat and they had no real solution other than to suggest try deleting all recently downloaded apps to see if that clears the message from popping up. I haven’t had time to do this but I did open all recently installed apps and they all open, so none are pending download. Super annoying for sure. iPhone 12 here with latest IOS running.

No, it is still happening. I spoke with apple support on chat and they said I need to speak with someone. I did not have time to wait on hold. I’m hoping I can get through to someone soon because it is very annoying. I even checked all downloads in the pending folder and it was empty. Ask, everything is updated so who knows why this is going on. I am glad I’m not the only one though. 🤷‍♀️
