Just down loaded Big Sur 11.6 and can no longer stream Xfinity live tv. Tried different browsers still doesn't work. I can still stream Xfinity on my my Mac Book Pro lap top which is running 11.5
Spoke with Xfinity / Comcast they said never they have not
heard of this issue. Anyone else run into this?

I worked with an apple care tech trying a few different "fixes" but nothing. Finally had to do a recovery restart (command R) which deleted and reinstalled 11.6 this did the trick. It did however take 5 hours to download in this mode.
I am also pretty sure the issue was with Xinify's signal in my neighborhood which goes in and out all day, a few dropped signals during the download corrupted it.

I finally got xfinity stream to work on my mac book pro. I did the command R restart to reload macOS 11.6; except this time I did NOT update safari to version 15.
I can again use xfinity stream.
So, it appears to me, the issue is with safari version 15 and not macOS 11.6.

The recovery reboot (command R) will reinstall Big Sur 11.6 that includes Safari 15 and is very likely the problem. If you reinstall 11.6 do it without Safari 15. If you stay with Safari 14 you will be able to stream Xfinity again. Hopefully either Apple or Xfinity will fix this conflict.
Just got notice of another update. Hoping it fixes the Safari issue! I'm having issues with my photos too. Only getting a very limited number of them when I try to use one for my wallpaper (which I've done numerous times before), and they're all the unedited versions! No rhyme or reason to what's showing up either. Some are years old, others are recent, and there are repeats (duplicates of the older ones)!
Everyday I check for a notice of an upgrade fix for 11.6, so far, nothing. I do, however, have an update notice for a connections with my devices. That one I'm leaving alone until after there is a fix for streaming & 11.6. Others have suggested rolling back 11.6, but I think I'll wait, see what happens. The iPad is working ok with streaming, and that will do for now.
I have the exact same issue. After Big Sur 11.6 (and Safari 15) update Xfinity will no longer stream with Safari or chrome.

I have the exact same issue. Comcast claimed it is an apple issue. Apple claims it is a comcast issue . I just want a fix so I can stream xfinity tv again.
Same issue here on a MacBook Air. I can still stream with no problem on my iPad, so I'm thinking it's an Apple problem.

WHEN will this be fixed? Still having this issue with both Safari and Chrome. How incompetent are people that they haven't fixed this yet?

Clearly this is not even remotely a priority for anyone to fix this.
Yes. Command R, to reload macOS, then when it ask you to update safari to version 15 don't do it. It actually seems to be safari version 15 causing the problem.
