Aperture - Bring it back PLEASE!

I have over 200,000 photos cleaned up and exported to SmugMug that I share with family and friends.

I have over 100,000 more photos yet to be cleaned up and cataloged in Aperture.

Aperture is MY FAVORITE photo program.

Please bring it back or sell/give it to a company that will continue supporting this fine program.

I want to buy a new Mac when I can run Aperture on it.

Looking forward to continuing to use my favorite photo program - APERTURE.

iMac 27″, macOS 10.13

Apple don't promise to read anything here. For tis kind of post you need the feedback mechanism:

https://www.apple.com/feedback/aperture.html

That said, as Aperture has been removed from sale for more than 6 years now, and had no significant development for even longer, it's hard to be optimistic. Perhaps you need to get around to doing what moat everyone else has done: select an alternative and migrate.

Aperture has also been my favourite photo manager and editor so far. But if it came back, I would want it to come back as an Apple product. I do not like to have to depend on third-party software, as it is making it hard to be an early adopter of new system versions. Frequently we have to wait for the third-party software to be updated, before we can risk to install a system update or upgrade.

This is not solved. I like Aperture and I can still hope some company buys the current Aperture software and UPDATES it so I can continue with all the pictures I have on the software and unfortunately this precludes me from buying and migrating to a new Mac.

SOMEONE HELP me since APPLE is not inclined to do so.

Each and every software is sold for a certain hardware and software. There is never a guarantee, that the program will be updated to run on a newer system version or a different hardware. Enjoy Aperture on the Mac and the system version you purchased it for. And while this mac is still working, try to find a replacement for Aperture, so you will not be left without the the ability to access your photos at all, when your old mac dies and you need to replace it. Aperture 3.6 (released as the last update in 2015) can run on any mac with macOS 10.14 Mojave, but not beyond. I kept two of my older macs on Mojave to be able to run 32-bit apps, to use my scanner and Printer and audio interface. The two newer macs have been upgraded to Big Sur and I am using Photos for Mac to open the Aperture Libraries. I supplement it with Luminar AI as an editor and Houdah Geo to edit exif Tags and many AppleScripts. For my needs this suffices, as I enjoy scripting. I like that iCloud Photos can sync my Photos Library between all my Apple devices, across different system versions and platforms. I find the same photos library perfectly in sync with all adjustments and albums on my iphone, ipad, and the macs.
