Hi there
I've got an iPhone 11 that keeps changing its name at random (or so it seems).
I've normally called it "MBUUS", but it changes its name to "MBUUS iPhone iOS [ios version] [serial number]".
This happened on both 14.x and now 15.0.0.
Any idea how to resolve?
Please don't suggest Settings -> General -> About -> Name... I can do this numerous times, but it will eventually set the name as described above.
Any takes?

As a test, if you change the name of your iPhone with a computer using the steps in the article we previously sent over, does this continue to happen?

It doesn't happen when I connect to a PC. Experienced it changing without being connected between charges.
I have no clue if it's an app doing it. Can an app do this at all?
It's enrolled with my company's MDM solution, but I've asked and they claim that this is not possible for them change the name...
These days it kinda happens at least every 48 hours...
I know the above doesn't give much to go about 😔 but I hope you have some ideas. One thing's for certain; I don't do it myself.

To confirm, does this happen after using a specific app or function of your iPhone or after connecting it to a computer? How often does this occur?
Also, if you change the name using a computer, does this issue continue to occur?
