I was wondering if I should charge my ipad pro 2021 the first time for 8 hours right after I receive it, or is it good to go without the first charge? I searched online and on YouTube about it but there wasn't any answer for it so I thought I'd ask here.

It really does not matter. You can start using it as soon as you take it out of the box and set it up. It should have somewhere around 70 to 80% charge. Or plug it in and charger it if you want. It's entirely up to you.
You can plug it in to charge whenever its convenient. Best option to maximize battery life is to charge it overnight. This lets it auto manage the charge during the night to reduce the stress on the battery.
