Screen isn't put together correctly

The screen on my refurbished Ipad (8th) generation was not assembled correctly. There is a black edge to it and it appears sunken into the screen itself. This is a problem because when using my apple pencil for taking notes, I can't really tell where the line will be put because it appears lower than the screen that my pencil touches. When you look at it from the side, the actual colored part of the screen appears sunken into the ipad.
