Need to reset my iPad Pro

I don't remember my password on my new iPad Pro. If has facial recognition. I've tried to reset the iPad as instructed by plugging it into my computer. I get the error code of 4013. I understand that this means I don't have the most updated OS on my Mac. It is currently running with OS X Yosemite. There are no more upgrades available on my Mac. What can I do?

iPad Pro, iPadOS 14

Hello. Your best bet here is to borrow a friend or family member's computer (assuming they have a computer running a new version of iTunes or a later version of macOS) or to take this iPad into your local Apple Store or Authorized Retailer for assistance.
