Water was spilled in my macbook. what should i do?

Water damage is often extensive and ongoing due to corrosion. The computer needs to be examined by an authorized service center.

Powering it off for 2-3 hours is not recommended. Keep it powered off and make an appointment with Apple service.

Yes, I agree with you but also if its limited water most Macs are somewhat resistant to water. Though if it got in the speaker than the speakers may need repair. Due to the fact that most computer speaker are very vulnerable to water.
