I am in a gated community. At the intercom the system dials my in house landline 4 rings and then defaults to my cell. Comes up on my cell as the Intercom gate and I am supposed to press 6… once this is done I hear clicking and then nothing. My strata say it’s my phone! Can you help? I have downloaded ios15. Still a problem…

I used to live in a building where folks would use the intercom system and it would ring the landline only. We could forward the call to a cell phone, but the system was then incapable of doing anything (couldn't buzz anyone in without the landline). Just ended up having people call and going to get them since most residents didn't have landline phones; a little different in a building than a gated community but I suspect the system has some issue.
You should check with your management office, the forwarding and iPhone may not work.
The call is definetly forwarded as it comes up on my display and rings through. When I press 6 it seems to do the clicking necessary but does not release the gate. My strata says the intercom people aren’t in the business of repairing peoples phones. Is it my phone or the connection that is not correctly setup. It is a new system by Viscount Enterphone…they say no one else is complaining so it must be working for them. I suspect many are not using it to their cell. Don’t know what to do… The strata mgr tasked with this install is on Android…😂
