Trade in: AppleCare+

Hello,

I know this question has been answered already on these forums. However, I was told something else regarding this question by the apple representative in an online chat.

If I trade in an iPhone with the AppleCare+ plan that has not expired yet to buy a new iPhone, would I be refunded for the remainder of the AppleCare+ plan? I was told that the refund is impossible but I've read another post saying the opposite. I want to confirm this.

Thank you!

iPhone 12, iOS 15

"If you cancel your AppleCare plan more than 30 days after your purchase, you’ll get a refund based on the percentage of unexpired AppleCare plan coverage, minus the value of any service already provided.1

The refund guidelines may vary in your country, region, state, or province. You can find more information about canceling and refunds in the applicable AppleCare Terms and Conditions."
