IOS 15 problems

After I upgraded to 15 my phone can’t access the apps or the internet. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max ND I I doesn’t seem to want to connect to any of my apps and I’m having problems with the internet access. Face ID seems to be working, but the apps just spin and spin until they time out. Using a lot of battery, too lately. Are the apps updating, too?
