My watch band is stuck and the button doesn’t seem to release the band.

Don't force it. The quickest way to get the problem diagnosed and resolved to to make an appointment at the Genius Bar in an Apple Store near you and let them look at it. If that is not possible, use the online Apple Support. Either way:
