Macbook Pro miid 2012 screen flickering issue

Hi all,

I am recently facing screen flickering issue (multiple colour lines) on the right 20%of the screen recently. Have done SMC and NVRAM reset but still the same issue. Also, I reinstalled the OS but no avail. I am using Catalina at the moment. Any idea what could be the issue i.e. if it is screen display or motherboard or something else? and how much approx it would cost as I am planning to buy a new laptop.

Most likely it is a hardware issue with the built-in Display. Do you have the same issue if you connect an external display? You can also take a screenshot. Do you see the same issue in the screenshot (make sure to move the screenshot to the left side of the display to view it). If you only see the issue on the built-in Display, then the built-in Display is bad.
