App Restore

is there a way to restore an earlier version of an app that was accidentally deleted. I tried reinstalling but it brings up the app as if it’s new and I need the data that was in the older version.

iPhone 11 Pro Max, iOS 14

Hello Broberts716,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Based on your post, you've accidentally deleted an app with it's data and you'd like to restore that data, if possible.

You could try restoring a previous backup: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup

Note: Doing this will restore the device to that specific date/time. Meaning, you will lose anything from that date/time to now. It also will restore other content (app data) to that date/time.

This really depends on the app itself. Some apps have services that keep data tied to your account, while others do not.

We'd recommend contacting the developer for your options: How to contact an app developer

Wishing you well, cheers!
