Delete Safari Documents and Data on iPad

It’s seems there is no answer to this question. Has anyone and I mean Apple found a way to do this

tgese forums are very good, but sometimes it would be good to hear from Apple.

. At the moment I have over 5gb of storage showing under iPad storage with no way of deleting it, that I’m aware of. Searched internet. The best answer is “wait, because I think Safari gets rid of it eventually” - really. As I can’t delete Safari and download again like other apps I’m pretty fed up as I’m reaching storage limits on my iPad, which I suppose is Apples idea of pushing me to get another iPad . Been with Apple a long time, but … didn’t notice this until ios15, so hopefully it’s a bug???

In iPadOS > Settings > Safari, if you scroll down on that Safari settings screen you will see the blue text: Clear History and Website Data. Tap that, to receive a secondary dialog where you tap clear. It is the same in iPadOS 14.8 and 15.0.
