Find my IPhone constantly tracking on iOS

My iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone XS & iPad PRO are constantly tracking my location for the Find My Iphone feature. It's the only setting that I have on and the only one that shows the purple sign/arrow, i.e, it's been used. It's every few minutes, every time I turn my phone, the arrow is looking for my location (left upper corner, next to the clock).

Im on 14.8 (XS) and iOS 15 (iPhone PRO & iPad),

In the past I have never had this problem, I have tried everything that I read online, but this seems to be a bug, which is annoying since it drains my battery life. It started somewhere with iOS 14.7 (+/-)

I appreciate your help - or maybe it will be forwarded to someone at Apple side (yes - I spoke to the Genius but they are not able to help - no tricks are working on phones).
