Apple Watch Stuck in "Continue set-up on iPhone" after iPhone update

Hello and Help! I was trying to get the ATT cellular fixed on my wife's Apple Watch and was in the middle of re-pairing it to her iPhone when the prompts said I needed to update her watch but first needed to update her phone. I updated her phone with no problem, but now the watch is stuck at the point it had stopped when it told me to update her phone. I did a hard reset on her watch and the phone and the watch is still stuck in the screen where you see the type of watch in a circular design. Anyone have any thoughts on how to get her watch back to pairing? Thanks!

Hi, thanks so much for the offer but I FIGURED IT OUT! Well, I looked it up. The problem is in NUMBERS SYNC with ATT. I updated all to latest software (IOS and Watch) unpaired both watches, then did a hard reset on my phone (after backing it up) Then went through the normal pairing process and both worked! I found the solution on the ATT forums. Seems like this is a consistent problem with a number of Apple Watch owners..

It sounds like you've done some pretty good troubleshooting so far. You mentioned updating her iPhone, but if she has a compatible model, the latest version is iOS 15.

If this is the version showing within Settings > General > About, then we recommend contacting Apple Support to continue: Get Support
