Screen mirroring not working with IOS 15

Are you trying to display the Home Screen and all content on your iPhone on another display, or a specific app or video? If the behavior occurs with video, is there any change when you stream the video from your iPhone, compared to mirroring the video from your iPhone?

I have same issue on my iPhone 13 Pro max which has IOS15, but I checked it on another iPhone having IOS 14, it has no issue about full screen airplay with screen mirroring !!! IOS15 shall be fixed....

I am not happy with the privacy feature in iOS 15. I use my iPhone to give demos when mirroring my iPhone to the screen. Now with iOS 15, once I make a phone call and my iPhone is being mirrored to the screen, the phone call goes blank on the mirrored screen but it is shown on my physical iPhone. Apparently, this is now the world we live in with the new privacy feature of iOS 15 and this is not acceptable since I need to show my phone call on the mirrored screen when I give my demos. Now I wish I never upgraded to iOS 15. I am NOT a happy customer and wish there was a toggle switch in the privacy setting to allow phone calls to be mirrored. My demos are officially broken and now I'm going to look for either an iPhone with iOS less than v15 or, do I dare say it, an Android phone. Apple, please fix this!!!

HOW????? How do you downgrade? No one responds to this question! Before ios15, screen mirroring works great/perfect. Now, trying to watch ESPN+ video, I get small screen only. If I click on the boxes in upper right hand corner, it enlarges to a black screen "with" sound only. HELP, soon please. My wife wants to watch the Tom Brady specials.

UPDATE! The problem is not ios 15. My wife's phone has not upgraded yet, but it did upgrade to 14.8.? last week. It has the same issue as my phone with ios 15 upgrade. Both phones also has broken audio. My ipad does not have broken audio, but has the same video issue. If there currently is no answer, then I must leave Apple tv and go to roku or firestick for my ESPN+.

WELL...if anyone else has any of the above issues, or similar, don't look to Apple for the solution, because it is clear to me they have knowledge of it. I found the answer tonight. My wife wanted to watch the Tom Brady special on ESPN+, and I was going to make sure she did. My Aquos TV and my Apple TV was not the answer, and screen mirroring wasn't the answer for sure! Tried with two ipads and two iphones, version 12.55 through 15.1. The versions are not the problem! With that said, I got a Roku, and 20 minutes later we are watching Tom Brady. THAT is the answer....Roku!

Whatever you are trying to mirror off the Internet on your phone you need to completely exit Safari and then go back into the website and the picture will be full… You may have to do it a couple times and Apple does not know why… It is a problem in iOS 15 that much is certain

Here's the thing. I have NOT upgrade to 15.2 and I have issues with screen mirroring on HBOmax. I get in voluntary spanish speaking, and voice directives (or whatever it's called) describing everything. It doesn't matter what I do. And, it happens with my iphone and ipad. Its a crap shoot. Sometimes it happens and sometimes not. Last night I deleted the HBOmax app, then reinstalled and never had one issue. We will see what happens tonight.

I think the streaming companies need to be real worried about this because I'm never going to drop my Hargray fiber optic tv as long as these are issues when streaming.

Last, there really is NO solution for all of us, or maybe even any of us. It's all up to the IT groups that are overpaid and under managed?

Ok I fixed it. Firstly I deleted then reinstalled google home. Then I reset chrome cast, reset my router , soft reset my phone and also stopped the new blocking things (came after 15.2) in my WiFi settings on my phone .

I just kinda tried all this stuff and after restarting chrome cast twice and having to re add device in google home . At last it now picks up my smart tv and chrome cast

We should not have to work that hard to get there. In fact, someone at Apple, the service provider, the phone service provider, etc, needs to already have those complex things worked out, to at least tell us what we need to do. Guess that's asking too much.

Just updated to 15.0 yesterday and the same happened to me. After about 3 hours a window popped up on the TV to “allow” my iPad. Tried again today and back to losing the pic when I use full screen and no window popping up on the TV to allow the IPad. Eveything works correct if I mirror from my android phone.

Found Solution … Screen mirroring got its own icon … still dont like the new os 🤫 browser tabs are awful

Since the iOS 15 upgrade my iPad will not mirror full screen to my Apple TV. I also tried my iPhone and, while it will go full screen, will not play sound. Only video. Very frustrating

I've been having the same problem as Zuko. I use a first-party HDMI dock connector and there is no full screen when I try to stream on my tv. Back in iOS 14 it always showed up in full screen
