Has Apple Pulled the 64-bit iTunes for Win 10 v12.12.0.6 Installer (rel. 20-Sep-2020)?

According to the Apple Security Updates page at https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT201222 iTunes v12.12.0 was released for Windows 10 on 20-Sep-2021. I currently have 64-bit iTunes for Win 10 v12.11.4.15 (the installed version, not the Microsoft Store UWP version) and when I go to Help | Check for Updates it says that v12.11.4 is the current version.

I tried to perform an over-the-top update using full offline installers (iTunes64Setup.exe, ~ 200 MB) downloaded yesterday (22-Sep-2021) from either Apple.com at https://www.apple.com/itunes/ or MajorGeeks.com at https://m.majorgeeks.com/files/details/itunes.html but both installers asked if I want to repair or remove my current iTunes installation instead of performing an over-the-top update to v12.12.0.6.

I checked the file properties of the iTunes64Setup.exe files I downloaded yesterday from both Apple and MajorGeeks and was surprised to see that I actually downloaded the previous v12.11.4.15 installer and not a newer v12.12.0.6 installer (as it is labelled on MajorGeeks), which explains why my over-the-top upgrade didn't run to completion as expected.

Problem solved. Apple posted a new full offline installer for iTunes64Setup.exe v12.12.1.1 today (24-Sep-2021) and an over-the-top update with this installer ran to completion as expected. Unless I hear otherwise I'll assume there was an issue with the v12.12.0.6 installer (rel. 20-Sep-2021) that caused Apple to pull it from their download server.
