How do I stop the Notification flood after working out on Watch OS8?

when I am done with a workout in WatchOS8, instead of being shown my workout statistics, I am flooded with notifications that were suppressed during the workout. Suppressing the notifications is great, Apple Watch has always done that during workouts.

But I don’t want too be forced right after working out and pressing “STOP” to see a bunch of notifications. I want to look at my workout stats, like I could do in OS7, 6, 5, etc.

I cannot find a setting for this. It is driving me nuts, and defeats the mental boost I get from working out. It is basically “Glad you had a workout - here is some stress, look at all of these notifications RIGHT NOW!!!!!”

Hello EdHans,

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. We understand you'd like to manage the notifications on your Apple Watch, after completing a workout. We can help provide you additional information.

You have the ability to customize how you receive the notifications on your Apple Watch by following the steps outlined in this helpful article: Notifications on your Apple Watch Specifically the section that says, "Manage notifications." These are the available options for the notifications.

In addition, here's two more articles about adjusting the settings for the notifications on an Apple Watch in watchOS 8: Change notification settings on Apple Watch and Change the audio and notification settings on your Apple Watch

Kind regards.
