No 1 Reason my next watch will not be an Apple Watch: Messages and notifications

In the name of God, how do I stop ALL notifications and messages?

75% of my Apple Watch usage is at the gym or while running etc. The last thing I want is to have my workout interrupted with a message, or any non workout related notification, and especially calls. OMG 🤬

I am going to post further reasons what my enthusiasm for the Apple Watch is rapidly fading, however if I can completely stop all messages and notifications for good (I have tried various settings etc before), this will contribute to me reconsidering my current opinion.

Try Do Not Disturb when you need a break (swipe up on the watch and tap the crescent moon icon) Just be aware DND stops every device’s notifications.

Or you can mute nuisance contacts who message too much on your iPhone by swiping left on the convo - (purple) Mute. Or use the ‘i’ beside their name and select “Hide Alerts” .

Or just stop mirroring your iPhone to stop it on the watch and keep it on the iPhone. See: Notifications on your Apple Watch - Apple Support

To start up, see this about how Notifications work with the Apple Watch and iPhone. Notifications on your Apple Watch - Apple Support Next, this is a user to user support forum and Apple does not participate here. If you wish to let Apple know you have reasons you do not like the Watch, you need not post them here. Apple won't see them. You need to use the feedback link at
