Thanx for your response.
Hypothetical:
I have 72,000 songs on my MacBook.
I want to move 35 songs to my iPhone.
How does one select the 35 in the Music App
and not “Sync” all 72,000.
iTunes had simple drag and drop to phone, don’t see that in Music.
Am I overlooking something?
I guess I was a bit vague, it’s music files on the iPhone accessed with Files into Music App.
ITunes no longer works on my M1 MacBook Pro. Apple was kind enough to destroy one of the best applications they had developed in favor of a simple streaming Music. And Sync is useless. But thanks for the reply.
We apologize if we are not understanding you. Let's try to break this down a bit.
If you want to sync music between your Mac and other Apple devices: Sync music between your Mac and iPhone or iPad.
If you want to sync music between your PC and iOS devices: Use iTunes to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with your computer.
In your Files app on your iPhone, you can have music files, but you cannot import them directly into the Music app from there. You must use a computer to import them properly.
Let us know if this does not clarify matters and we'll go from there.
You don't.
You will have to use a computer and go through iTunes or sync on a Mac.

Thanks for getting back with us about this, Berferd. The article in our previous message explains how to import music from your Mac's hard drive into the Music app, whether commercially produced music or your own songs. If needed, here it is again: Import music from a computer to Music on Mac. You can also drag a file or folder from the Finder to the Music window to import it.
We hope that helps. Have a great rest of your day.
Don’t know what app this is, but there is no option to save into Music.
