How do I turn off Apple TV if the remote won’t work

I have charged the Apple TV remote for well over an hour now and I still can’t get the remote to work. I just want to simply try turning off the system and turning it back on but how do I do that without the remote? Is unplugging Apple TV device the only option?

yes or flip the switch of the ac switch it's connected to

or if you have an ios device with a connected remote app you can use that
