Hi Jun6D,
Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
We understand that you're unable to connect to your Hotspot from iPhone to PC. Check to see if you haven important software updates to work with your PC. Check out the additional steps in getting connected in If Personal Hotspot is not working on your iPhone or iPad (Wi-Fi + Cellular).
Regards.
Thanks for your response!
I went over the steps mentioned in the link and tried resetting my network settings as well, but the hotspot still doesn’t work over Wi-Fi on my PC.
It works fine most of the time when connected through USB but there are times when it doesn’t detect the connection or the connection suddenly disconnects.
I tested the Wi-Fi hotspot on an iMac running Big Sur v11.5.2 and it worked fine.
So maybe this could be some sort of compatibility issue?
Jun6D,
From your troubleshooting, we know that Personal Hotspot works on iPhone to your Mac. Restart your computer. Try connecting to your Personal Hotspot while your computer is in safe mode. You can also test from a new user to see if this behavior affects your entire system or only your user account.
Regards.
Jun6D,
From your PC, forget the network name. From your iPhone, change the name of your device in Settings > General > About and change the password for your Personal Hotspot in Settings > Personal Hotspot. Then try connecting.
Regards.
Hi ASTRO24,
I tried this a couple of times but it still says “No Internet, secured”.
I tried connecting to the WiFi hotspot of an iPhone 12 Pro running iOS 14.1 on the same PC and had no issues.
So I figure this has to be a compatibility issue with the iOS update.
Jun6D,
It would be best to reach out to Apple directly to investigate this issue for a solution.
Regards.
This doesn't work. The issue is with the iPhone, not the PC. I have same problem. Windows 10. Since iOS 15 update I cannot connect a PC to my hotspot. We need a real fix.
Hi, I tried the steps you mentioned but it’s still the same.
looks like it’s an issue with the IOS update. Everything worked fine up until then
I updated to iOS 15.0.1 today and my WiFi hotspot still doesn’t work on my PC.
