After upgrading to iOS 15, I reinstalled the Translate app, but I can't say that it works correctly. Constant requests to download dictionaries that have already been downloaded and messages about the inability to translate at the moment for some reason.

I cannot get the translate app to do anything as well.
I wanted to try the new conversation feature but nothing. and tried to do normal typed text translate for my usual reading and nothing. I type the text, press enter and the text disappears with no translation.
i have restarted the phone (iPhone 12 128GB with iOS 15) and am using a downloaded language (French)
any help would be great
