Video not playing on M1 Macbook Air

Hi, I have a 16GB, M1 Macbook Air

I had several instances of video refusing to play on video streaming sites (e.g. Youtube, Twitch). The website loads fine, the video just refuses to play and gets stuck in a loading loop. The issue is not due to the browser since I can replicate this behavior in Safari and Chrome when the issue pops up. Not my internet connection also since other websites load fine. Not due to the website also since it happens both on Youtube and Twitch. The only way to fix this is to restart the system. Probably happens at least once a week and sometimes once per day. I haven't tested this for videos on my local drive though. Will retest if I encounter the issue again.

Does anyone encounter the same issue and knows a permanent fix?

Can you confirm one thing? Do you have any reliable VPN subscriptions? If the answer is 'yes' then connect to the VPN and try to access these sites. And if 'no', then take a reliable VPN subscription first, then do the tasks told above. Hopefully, your problem will get resolved after doing this. If even after doing this, your problem doesn't get resolved then you can try other steps from this article. The same step helped me on Windows, I found this helpful, so just shared it.
