As mentioned Apple TVs are streaming devices, that means 99% of the content available on them is on demand, so there is no need to record anything.

You can watch anything anytime you want to since its not playing live, its there for you to start playing whenever you want to. Recording does not make sense when you can start watching anything at any time.


Things with live TV, like Hulu or Sling offer Cloud DVR options to record their live offerings if needed for later playback.


For everything else, its just available at any time when you want to watch it.
