Message Flash Then Disappear
I see in a message flash in the notification bar but when I open messages to read it, it’s not there!

It looks like you're noticing a notification appear that you've received a message, but not able to locate the message when you check, correct? Let's take a look into what may be occurring here.
Are you aware if you have enough available storage on your iPhone? If you're unsure, let's check that first to make sure that the message isn't appearing due to low space. For help with that, take a look at the following resource:

If this isn't isolated to the storage of your iPhone, are you aware if you use Messages in iCloud? If you do, what other devices are signed in with your Apple ID that uses Messages? Is it possible that the message is being received on a different device, then deleted from that device? If so, this would be why you're not able to see the message on your iPhone.
