iPhone 13 Camera is blurry

Hello,

I’ve just received my iPhone 13 Pro and instantly noticed that especially the front camera quality in low light is horrendous. Coming from an iPhone X, the difference is literally night and day. The front camera seems to have some kind of beauty or over-smoothing effect on and the pictures really do look unacceptable. My colleague has the same problem with his 13 Pro Max and across the internet there have been multiple discussions about this.

I asked for:

1️⃣_Being able to shoot without this Oil paint effect/ software noise reduction added by the software (pic on the left)

2️⃣_Being able to shoot without HDR (like in previous iPhone models)

(pics from isazavakos - pls note differences in hair, eyelashes, make up. Picture on the right is a RAW using camera on Lightroom for iOS, as a workaround to avoid this effect)

problem is in too aggressive noise reduction on iPhone cam app + they want to add brightness and contrast to their taste, while other applications do not have this effect its like xiaomi beauty option from 2017. Now i am very close to selling 13 and buy xr again which i had before, of course the night photos are a bit worse but they are honest

That's simply not accurate.

I've examined the photos on Macs using Photoshop and Preview and they are as good as if not better than photos taken with older iPhones.

Independent reviews agree:

However, if you're with 14 days of purchase, feel free to return your phone for any reason; not every phone is right for every person.

It’s not an opinion.

i m not talking about low light condition.

I also shooted using same device but with Lightroom app for iOS and telephoto shoots are way better.

(in the info of each shot is possible to see which lens iPhone 13 used).

I work with professional photographers on daily basis.

Not saying that this camera is awful. It s super BUT there are things that need to be fixed.

There are many people here telling same things.

hope that Apple philosophy will be about listening this feedback and fix instead .

cheers
