The operation could not be completed as Acrobat Reader doesn't have permission to access: Launch privacy settings to grant access?

I went to settings and granted permission to Acrobat for full disk access and still files won't open. Please advise

You need the current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (not the Acrobat Pro DC trial) for macOS Big Sur, and it only opens valid PDF documents. Nothing else, unlike Apple's Preview.

This application does not appear in my Full Disk Access permissions and works just fine for me on all versions of Big Sur through the current macOS 11.6 when accessing files from my home directory.
