Hello Unicorn39,

We see that you need help with your iPhone.

So we're on the same page, can you tell us more about what you see in Settings and where exactly you’re seeing it?

We ask because opening an email shouldn't have an impact on Settings.

If you’re seeing spam calendar events, check this out: Delete spam calendars and events on iPhone

If you need help with Activation Lock check this out: Activation Lock for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Cheers!

There are new terms and conditions for iCloud+, yes. Displays which sometimes get stuck too, in somewhat typical fashion for Apple Terms & Conditions prompts, unfortunately. I’d expect this is legitimate. (I haven’t seen the new T&C stuff here, but a number of other folks around here and elsewhere have received and have acknowledged it.)

You can contact Apple Support directly, and verify what you’re seeing, for the official answer.

That it’s buried itself in Settings sure looks legitimate, though.

This looks like a phishing scam. If you didn’t log into the fake Apple login portal with your Apple ID, you’re likely fine.

If you did log into the fake Apple portal, I really hope you have two-factor authentication on.

If you have two-factor authentication enabled, expect some attempts to get the two-factor tokens.

If don’t have two-factor authentication enabled, or did but then provided the authentication tokens to the scammers, your Apple ID is or soon will be compromised.

When I checked my email for messages there was one stating I had to accept new terms for iCloud.

I opened the email but for some reason did not think it was legit. Then I couldn't get rid of the message.

Re-booted my iPhone 6+ and was able to use it. There are two messages sitting in my Settings in Apple ID suggestions.

One says I must accept new Terms and Conditions.

The other says Update Apple ID Settings.

I'm trying to find out if this is a legit request from Apple or not.

And if not how do I get rid of these messages or just ignore them??

So here is what I did - I opened the email and read it. Did not login to any other location and did not supply any logon info.

I just didn't think it was legit for some reason. So now I have two messages sitting in "Apple ID Suggestions" in my Settings.

One says I have to Accept new iCloud Terms and Conditions on this phone;

the other says "Some account services require you to sign in again."

There is a blue "Continue" under that - I have not clicked on it.

So - is Apple really issuing new iCloud T&C?
