disable secure eSCL (AirScan)

I have an HP MFP M283fdw that I have used as recently as yesterday to aid me in development of Mac Compatibility with the eSCL protocol for some projects.

Just yesterday I was able to capture unencrypted packets in Wireshark on Mac Mini running Catalina to/from the HP MFP M283fdw . Today that ability is gone. It seems to me that I had to make an adjustment in the HP for that to work but for the life of me I can not find it now.

As I see it I have two remaining options

1) Disable Bonjour detection of _uscans._tcp and leave _uscan._tcp active

2) disable the entire secure protocol for eSCL AirScan (why this is not a simple user selectable option is beyond me)

Anyone have an idea how to get my communication back to UNencrypted?
