iPhone 13 Pro/Max Refresh Rate

I’ve read on a couple of online news outlets that apps such as Messages and Mail do not refresh at 120hz to preserve battery life on the new iPhone 13 Pro models. Is this only when viewing a still image? Or are scrolling/moving animations still at 120hz? Hoping they are as I’m waiting for my new iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Power saving mode drops refresh rate to 60Hz at any percentage. Hello. Just switched to a new iPhone 14 Pro and noticed this: when you turn on the power saving mode, the screen switches from 120Hz to 60Hz refresh rate and it feels unpleasant. I know older models do the same but only when it comes to 1% battery. Not like the new iPhone, which does this at any battery percentage, just when you turn on power saving mode. Will there be a fix for this or it always gonna be like this?
