2018 iPad Pro ProMotion

I have a question about my 2018 iPad Pro, it has ProMotion but is does it use variable refresh rate or does it stay constantly at 120Hz?

Iphone 14pro max I purchased my iphone 14pro max 1week ago. Now i am noticing 120hz refresh rate is not working and screen is not that smooth. It is also lagging a bit. Is there anything to worry??

iPhone 14 PRO MAX with problems at refresh rate a week ago I bought a 14 Pro max, but I am very disappointed with it. before it I had a 14 plus but I wanted to upgrade in the hope that the games and applications would run much better, which turned out not to be the case. in games I have a lag every 5 seconds, a lag that I never had on the old phone. this lag is very annoying and makes games run even harder. I understood that it is about Pro Motion and the software update, and that this problem will be fixed in September when ios 17 will be officially released. In conclusion, I would like to say that on the pro max I use the same settings as on the 14 plus, no nothing has changed. I don't know what to do, whether to take it under warranty or wait for an update. what do you say? thank you

The specification states that the display refresh rate is up to 120Hz (i.e., is variable, principally to reduce power requirements).
