my iPhone has died and I tried turning it on but it is stuck with the dead battery screen with it saying "express cards and keys available". how do I disable this while my phone is dead ? How can I turn on my phone again?

Your transit passes (and any other cards in your Wallet) can normally be remotely disabled by marking you phone as “Lost” using FindMy.
However, given your phone’s current “state” … ???
yes but it has not restarted. It keeps on showing the dead battery screen with express cards and keys available when I try to force restart it as well
Have you tried a Forced Restart:
Force restart iPhone 8 or iPhone SE (2nd generation)
Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the side button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
Use the Get Support button at the top of this screen to reach out to Apple.
Have you plugged the phone in to charge it? You likely need to have the battery replaced in your phone.
