I have Apple Pay functioning on my iPhone 8. .My Apple Watch 1 comes up with a message saying that I have no cards registered. Any ideas?

I have Apple Pay functioning on my iPhone 8. My Apple Watch 1 comes up with a message saying that a card needs to be installed in the Apple Watch app. As there is already a card registered, what should I do?

Open the Wallet app on your phone and note which cards are registered there.

Then open the Watch app on your phone, tap Wallet & Apple Pay and add the cards. It should show the cards that you have on your phone and allow you to add them.
