Apple Watch keeps pausing during my outdoor walk

This started happening after the latest update! My hands are not touching any buttons and I’m wearing a short sleeve shirt. I’m very frustrated with this as I enjoy knowing my time and mileage. Any suggestions or thoughts? Thank you

I read that the watch band should be tighter to have better contact with skin, and I lock it once it starts. (So I tried that) Today it said it looks like your on a walk do you want to open goal, so I did, with it to pause after it alerted me to a mile. Every time we walk it will pause. I have the dial on the arm side of the watch, not the wrist side, it’s tight enough, and locked… and it still happens is there anything I can do?

Apple watch & fitness My Apple Watch Series 6, is stopping my walk session after like thirty seconds and when i start it, it just stops again. All other fitness programs is working just fine and is not stopping after thirty secons: I really hope there is a solution.

I’ll try this tomorrow when I do my daily walk! Did this just recently change? I didn’t have to do this before the update. Thank you!
