The Apple TV app is available for select models TV, as listed. It wouldn’t be available for other models.

Mine is XBR so an earlier model from 2017. However, I had the Apple TV+ app on that tv d for a couple of months. Went away for a week and now its gone, can't even see it in the Google app store, can't cast it to any tv except an older model Vizio in my bedroom. Wondering what happened in the last 2-3 weeks to cause this.

From the list, it seems that 2018 models were the oldest supported. So I have no clue how you would have had the app on a 2017 model (except through an external streaming device). Even Sony’s own list doesn’t include 2017 models. Can I use the Apple TV app or Apple TV+ with my Android TV or Google TV? - Sony Support

Think I’ve found the answer. My Firestick has not been working. Evidently there was a software update that has not gone well. I must have been getting Apple TV+ via that. Thanks.
