This features hasn't been released at this time, as it's scheduled "* Coming later this fall." You can view information in the article here: New features

available with iOS 15

Specifically the section that states:

"SharePlay: Share your screen

Share your screen to bring web pages, apps, and more into your conversation on FaceTime.*"

iOS 15 is compatible with iPhone Xr, if needed you can view a compatibility list near the bottom of the page here: iOS 15 - All new features
