So I’ve updated to Big Sur (not sure why that was mandatory), changed docking cord several times and tried the reset steps on the phone many many times. I still keep getting the same error on the computer.
The phone itself won’t get out of restore mode screen that has the picture of cord pointing to the top. It’s like the phone won’t allow itself to reset or get past that point.
That happened to me. I saw the laptop needed updates so I just tried connected to my desktop and it worked. You have to get into recovery mode while connected to the new computer. You can use anyone's computer with just a login with your Apple ID.
