Why can’t I delete my Safari history?
I can’t delete my cache or browsing history on my Mac. I have disabled parental restrictions and the clear history option remains grayed out although the history is there.

Hello, Sanon-Jules. Thank you for posting to the Apple Support Communities. You’ve come to the right place to get help with your Mac. We understand the situation and how you have been unable to clear the browsing history from Safari. We’re happy to help you find out what may be causing this.
We’re glad to see that you were able to review the Apple Support article that explains which Mac computers are compatible with macOS Big Sur. We have several more articles that we think will help you with this.
To find out more, we’d like to know if you are able to clear the Safari data while your Mac is started in safe mode. Safe mode can be an easy way to troubleshoot software issues like this and you can find instructions for starting safe mode in the following Apple Support article:
Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support
It may also help to install any available Safari updates. Before updating software on your Mac, we suggest that you create a new backup. This next article can help you with this process:

If you continue to notice the same issue after this, we can help you more. To move on, can you tell us if this only seems to be an issue with certain websites? Do other websites clear away when you select to remove the browsing history and website data in Safari?
We hope that these troubleshooting steps help you isolate and resolve the issue. Please reply back here if you would like more help with this.
Have a great day!
