MACOS how do I make sure that deleting an APP removes configuration files for the APP?

Deleting an APP is very easy - put it in "bin"

Observation: After re-install an APP it could still remember the settings

Question: How can I remove the settings as well?

Mentioning the exact app in question may help...

Look for any built in or in-app uninstaller and use that. If in doubt refer to the developers website; Support/Help/FAQ/known issues/compatibility:

How to delete apps on your Mac

Okay - I understand that APP from the app store is not describing for App Store what the APP is doing on the MACOS machine.

This means that there are many places to search for configuration files.

Loose defined configuration file placement is probably something that Apple need to work with.

This was good enough when unix was young. Today when IT is everything it might be too loose.

I would believe that the App Store/APP could suggest some places to look for configuration files.

I cannot find "remove" as an operation in App Store. This is something I believe Apple need to work with as well.

It seems to be a kind of risk - that APPS can write configuration files every where.

Apple should make it much more difficult for APP's to differ from rules,

Each APP ought to have a clean up script. Or a clean up "guide" - probably could be harmful to let the APP do the work on it's own.

The more I think over it, I get more and more angious that APPS can decide such things on their own.

Thanks, I cannot see that they write how to clean up

I assume that the APP is harmless.

I found the files "I hope"

Below shell script finds

cd ~

find Library | grep -i meetinone

It finds 2190 files

rm -Rf Library/Containers/com.meetinone.meetinone

rm -Rf Library/Containers/com.MeetInOne.MeetInOne-Launcher.Extension

rm -Rf Library/Application\ Scripts/com.meetinone.meetinone

rm -Rf Library/Application\ Scripts/com.MeetInOne.MeetInOne-Launcher.Extension

rm -Rf Library/Group\ Containers/L*com.meetinone.meetinone

rm Library/Safari/LocalStorage/https_meetinone.com_0.localstorage*

Now the 2100 files is gone.
