Junk mail duplicated mails from my entire inbox

Big Sur 11.6 upgrade completed, but one entire IMAP email inbox has been replicated and marked junk including some of the properly filtered junk messages from applied rules. Has anyone seen this, guessing this is a bug? I had prior to the last update reinstalled my mail servers from scratch but duplication occurred after the update, correlation or causation? I have several mail accounts that are not experiencing this problem including the second IMAP email account making me wonder if I have inadvertently set something wrong. Any help from much wiser heads is appreciated.


Note: in the time it took me to write this, the junk mails vanished, without restarting mail or adjusting any settings. Any one else have this happen? So peculiar!
