Can you work interchangeably with a Microsoft Surface Pro and an iMac

I use Adobe Creative Suite for work on an iMac but am finding I need to be more mobile. The laptops are so expensive, the iPads don't work for InDesign (which I use most) so now I'm looking at the Microsoft surface pro - but can I work interchangeably? My guess is no since I wouldn't have access to my CC libraries. Any suggestions??

I don't know just how CC works, but if you can put your CC libraries or documents in iCloud Drive, then you may be able to share that access to your Surface device.

Also, if cost of a new MacBook is prohibitive for you, consider purchasing an Apple refurbished device.
