Sync Photo's People with Contacts

Hi, I have been assigning "key photos" for "People" in the mac Photos application. Is there a way to sync these key photos with the individual contact cards?

It doesn't;t appear so at this time. But, that sounds like an excellent feature request. You can provide feedback at Apple.com/feedback.

It does do that. When you go to name a person in a photo when you start to type in their name you'll get a list of potential names from the Contacts.

So it is connected to the Contacts.
