Question Mark on iPhone in the Finder

My iPhone has a question mark in it in the view of the finder. And it also doesnt have an iphone icon on the side panel. I've tried factory resetting the phone and it didn't help. Any idea what to do to restore the proper icons (I didn't have this problem with my previous phone)?

Dear Other_One_and_Only,

A new software update for MacOS has been released on September 30th. Go to System Preferences -> Software Update and install the "Device Support Update". This can help you.

All the best!

Hi Other_One_and_Only,

From your post, it sounds like your Mac is displaying the iPhone 13 Pro Max with a question mark. To start, which macOS version is the computer running? If an update is needed, let's ago ahead and do that now: Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support

Does the issue occur in safe mode? Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support

Take care.
